Substantial Grade II Listed freehouse sold to local investor
Acting on behalf of Enterprise Inns Plc, licensed property specialists Stonesmith of Exeter have recently sold The Corner House Inn in Crediton.
The Corner House traded as a town centre pub with a first floor Thai restaurant and has been bought by a local businessman as an investment to add to his extensive investment portfolio.
The property is a substantial end of terraced Grade II Listed building arranged over four floors. It was arranged with a basement bistro and cellars, ground floor bar and customer welfare facilities, kitchens and a restaurant on the first floor and private living accommodation on the second floor. Outside to the rear there is a walled courtyard and parking for 2 vehicles.
Stonesmith sold the property by best and final bids off a guide price of £285,000 and after a high level of interest. This is one of a number of pubs sold for alternative use over the last 6 months including The Cross Keys, Tiverton; The North Country Inn, Barnstaple and Judge Jefferies, Exeter.
