Potters, Port Isaac, Cornwall SOLD

Character cafe and restaurant sold without viewing!

After looking for the right property for over a year, Chris Dixon and Kim Launders knew immediately when they saw the details of Potters in Port Isaac that it was the business for them. They were so confidents that this was the right opportunity for them, that they agreed to purchase the cafe/restaurant without even viewing it and completed the sale within 6 weeks!

Chris and Kim are both experienced chefs and they have changed the name from Potters to the Krab Pot and trading as a daytime cafe serving freshly prepared and home cooked food, to eat in or take away. In the near future they plan to open in the evenings as a licensed restaurant and again serve quality home cooked dishes.

The property is in a prominent trading position in the heart of the village, which is a Mecca for tourists, especially since the Doc Martin series began filming from there.

A well equipped cafe/restaurant the trade areas briefly provide 28 covers with a downstairs cafe and first floor dining area. There is also a food prep area and customer servery. Above the cafe/restaurant there is a self contained 2 bedroom flat.

Mike Phillips of licensed and catering property specialists Stonesmith of Exeter who handled the sale says “the sale of Potters emphasises that the market for cafes and restaurants in Cornwall and the South West remains particularly strong and that buyers are still prepared to move quickly when the right opportunity comes to the market.”

A leasehold business, Potters sold of a guide price of £29,950.
