Quay Brasserie and Bar, Topsham SOLD

Modern and stylish restaurant and cafe bar
in highly desirable upmarket Exe Estuary town

Originally a quay side boathouse, in the estuary town of Topsham in Devon, 6 years ago it was converted into a high quality, purpose equipped, restaurant and cafe bar. It has now been sold by licensed property specialists Stonesmith of Exeter. Renamed L’estuaire Bistro Bar, the new owners are experienced local restaurateurs Karine Chapart and Onur Egitim who also own and run the popular Marcello’s restaurant in Topsham.

L’estuaire has a French Mediterranean influenced menu and the bistro and cafe bar will trade all day starting with morning coffee and leading on to light lunches, afternoon tea, cocktails and a full evening menu.

Karine and Onur have refreshed the decor and the restaurant now offers a fresh modern and stylish setting with a warm and relaxed atmosphere.

L’estuaire is in a prime trading position on Topsham’s Quayside with views of the River Exe Estuary and next to one of the town’s main car parks.

A deceptively spacious property it briefly comprises an open plan bar and restaurant area comfortably seating 80 customers. Outside there are a further 66 covers on the raised decking, which offers estuary views. The property also offers a fully equipped catering kitchen with ancillary areas.

Mike Phillips, Director of selling agents Stonesmith of Exeter commented “the opportunity attracted a substantial amount of interest from experienced caterers and we agreed a sale to Karine and Onur within a month of us receiving instructions to market the business. We wish Karine and Onur every possible success with this new venture”.

A leasehold business, Stonesmith sold The Quay Brasserie and Bar off an asking price of £135,000.
