Experienced local couple buy licensed hotel and restaurant in Hope Cove
Having traded for the past 7 years as a family run bed and breakfast, Sand Pebbles in Hope Cove, Nr Salcombe, is being converted back into a hotel. The property has recently been sold by licensed property specialists Stonesmith of Exeter to local business couple Ian and Emma Pedrick.
Ian has lived all his life in Hope Cove and with his wife Emma has been running the Hope and Anchor pub in the village. If this is not enough, along with raising two children, Ian still works as a fisherman and they have a small farm close by. Ian is also coxswain of the local lifeboat. Their fishing and farming will in turn supply the hotel with fresh local fish and meat.
Since taking over, Ian and Emma have been “hands on” turning the property back into a hotel and will be opening up the restaurant, bar and lounge bar to guests and the public. The newly refurbished restaurant and bar areas will be open lunch times and evenings with afternoon teas also available. The facilities are available for weddings, private parties and functions etc. and the hotel will re open on 1st April 2014.
Sand Pebbles is a substantial detached property set in a prominent elevated position with stunning views of the countryside and the cove. It is approx 250mtrs from the centre of Hope Cove, a popular coastal village known as one of Devon’s most delightful places to stay with the renowned towns or Salcombe and Kingsbridge just 4 miles away.
