The Full Moon, Wells, Somerset SOLD

Free of Tie Lease bought by successful business couple looking for a change of lifestyle and an exciting new venture.

When Sean Dyke and his partner Sarah Nichols came across details of The Full Moon in Wells, Somerset, it ticked all the boxes for them. They bought the business through licensed property specialist Stonesmith of Exeter, and having looked at various licensed businesses along the way, fell in love with the Full Moon and were excited by what it had to offer.

Sean and Sarah have been overwhelmed by the reception they’ve received from the locals and the encouragement for the future. Both of them had been looking for a change in direction for a while and for a business venture they could undertake together, as they feel they make good business partners and enjoy working as a team.

Their major investment has been the upgrading of the kitchen and the introduction of a more extensive food offering. Sean and Sarah are very excited about this addition to the trade and feel it is an area they can develop to a high standard and gain an excellent reputation.

Whilst this is a new venture, Sean and Sarah have successfully completed a number of relevant training courses to stand them in good stead with running a busy pub with food. Since taking over they have been extremely busy and have supported various charitable events. The support received from the local community has been tremendous, whilst they have settled in.

The Full Moon is a mid terraced property which dates back to the 16th Century but has been upgraded and modernised without loosing its charm and character. The pub is situated on the outskirts of Wells, which is known as the smallest city in England and boasts a magnificent Cathedral. Whilst there is a strong community in Wells the area is popular with tourists and day trippers as there are numerous attractions close by.

After 10 months of refurbishment in 2011/12 the property now briefly provides a main bar with seating for 20 and standing room, lounge bar with seating for 10 plus standing room, a 12 seater snug, a comfortable dining area with 24 covers, a catering kitchen and spacious 2-3 bedroomed owners accommodation.

Outside to the rear there is a large enclosed trade garden with a trade patio, covered smoking area and a large lawned garden with seating for 110. There are also various storage sheds and a veg plot/private garden.

Stonesmith are delighted to have sold The Full Moon to Sarah and Sean and we wish them every success in the future. The guide price for this free of tie leasehold pub was £37,500
