Having been run under management for a number of years, The Full Quart at Hewish, Nr Weston-super-Mare has recently been sold on a new 15 year lease. Owned by Heavitree Brewery the pub was one of their managed houses which they are in the process of phasing out. The business has been bought by Lee and Helen Thorn, trading as HLT Hospitality, who were attracted by the pubs potential and large catchment area, report licensed property specialists Stonesmith of Exeter who were joint agents with Bettesworths of Torquay.

Lee and Helen have many years experience in the hospitality industry having previously specialised in the restaurant trade. They are keen to build on the formerly well established food sales by introducing a new menu using quality fresh ingredients. The food will be freshly cooked and the menu will also offer promotion meals, on Tuesdays its curry club night, on Thursdays its grill night and on Sundays there’s a popular carvery.

A substantial and imposing property it benefits from extensive trade gardens which are suitable for a number of large functions. They want to enhance some of The Full Quarts features to provide a warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. They are also planning to brighten up the outside with hanging baskets etc. and to also make it a family friendly pub where dogs are also welcome,

The Full Quart possesses a highly visible roadside position on the main A370 Bristol to Weston–Super–Mare road. It is also just 2 miles from the M5 at junction 21. A popular food led operation it has a wide catchment area and Lee and Helen identified that there was a genuine potential for increasing the trade.
