SOLD TO NATHAN OUTLAW

Award winning, The Harbour Restaurant at 1 Middle Street, Port Isaac, won many awards and more recently the owner/chef Emily Scott, was named Best Chef at the popular culinary magazine Food’s Reader Awards 2013. From one award winning chef to another the business has more recently been bought by Nathan Outlaw and now trades as Outlaw’s Fish Kitchen. The sale being conducted by specialists licensed and catering agents Stonesmith in Exeter.
Outlaws Fish Kitchen is Nathan Outlaw’s most recent venture. Nathan is well known in the region as a Michelin-starred chef and his Restaurant Nathan Outlaw placed 3rd in the UK in the Good Food Guide 2014. The purchase of The Harbour is an addition to the Nathan Outlaw portfolio with other restaurants in Rock and London. He also has a joint venture with Cornwall College with the Academy Nathan Outlaw nurturing young talent to become professionals in their field and employing some of the students to fulfil their ambitions.
The new Outlaws Fish kitchen serves a variety of small seafood dishes in a relaxed seaside setting, offering customers a wide range of locally sourced seafood prepared and served in Nathan Outlaws unique style. With an ever changing menu and daily specials, wherever possible fish is purchased by local boats that are certified by the Responsible Fishing Scheme. In addition the restaurant supports the Port Isaac RNLI to help save lives at sea. The restaurants also have a Grub Club Membership which allows those signed up to receive discounted meals, exclusive offers, monthly updates and access to recipes.
The property had been well maintained with considerable expense and investment over the past 5 years. An original and unique property it is believed to be the oldest building in the coastal village, dating back to the 15th Century. Its location at the top or the slipway, on the waters edge, adds to the attraction. The village itself has a special atmosphere as well as being historic and picturesque, with a daily fish market, and more recently a Mecca for tourists visiting because of the Doc Martin series that is filmed here.
A ground floor lock up restaurant, it has many character features with a modern contemporary design. It comprises a main restaurant with seating for approx 30 and a well equipped catering kitchen.
