Matt and Sam have immediately set about refreshing The Maltsters and have already undertaken numerous improvements to the business and the property.
Their first major change was to appoint a new head chef, Jason Mead who has worked with them to devise a completely new menu with the emphasis firmly on high quality fresh local produce cooked to order at affordable prices. They pride themselves in their excellent selection of well kept cask ales and friendly customer service and being a child friendly pub.
The business, which has a strong all year round trade and local following from the village together with regular customers from surrounding towns and villages. It also has an increase in trade from tourists in the summer months, staying at nearby camp sites.
